Description:

This loading represents hydrostatic pressure.

General principle:

  1. Choose a reference plane (the Z+ axis or the arrow represent the side of the plane in which the liquid is simulated).

  2. Enter the value of the pressure (in the form of density x acceleration) in a unit that is compatible with kg/m²s².

  3. Designate the faces of a single piece that are subjected to the loading.

  4. Set the load's annotation text or click on .

Optional point(s):

The appplication face can be specified (only in the STD or PRO version).  Application to the EXTERNAL face is the only option that can be applied to volume parts.  Surface or general parts can have an EXTERNAL, INTERNAL or MIDDLE application.

Specific point(s):

Pressure loading is shown as several vectors distributed on the edges of the loaded faces, the direction of which is normal to the face, and the size of which varies according to the intensity of this pressure along the face.

 Pressure loading is put in the current load case at the time it is created .
