Description:

This load represents a uniform pressure applied to an edge of a part modeled in a 2D document.

General principle:

  1. Enter the pressure value(s).

  2. Designate the edges on a single part undergoing loading.

  3. Set the load's annotation text or click on .

Optional point(s):

The direction of the pressure can be specified (INCOMING or OUTGOING).  The direction is outgoing if the pressure is in the direction of the normal to the face.

The application face can be specified (only in the STD or PRO version). Application onto an EXTERNAL face is the only option that can be applied to volume parts.  Surface or general parts can have an EXTERNAL, INTERNAL or MIDDLE application.

Specific point(s):

Pressure loading is shown as several vectors distributed on the edges of loaded faces, the direction of which is normal to the face, and the size of which varies according to the intensity of this pressure along the face.

 The pressure loading is put in the current load case at the time it is created .
