This document describes the improvements made to the drafting application of the TopSolid'Design software in the version 2007.
Now, indexes defined in the template document can be retrieved during the loading of the drafting document, this functionality is also available in the Attribute | Revision index function.
Text dimension can be automatically underlined when the text or the scale factor is forced, this behavior is applied to all dimension types (linear, angular,...). To modify this setting, the Underline forced dimension option has been added in the Tools | Options and File | Properties functions (Dimension-Text/Tolerance sub-rubric). By the same way, when the text modification or the scale factor is canceled, the text dimension is no longer underlined.
When the drilling is going through another operation, a new configuration keyword (file \Missler\Config\topzdft.cfg) allows to change the way to find drilling depth.
Syntax :
D_TABLE_ALG_DRILL_SEARCH_DEPTH_FACES <tab> 0 or 1
0 (défaut): the drilling is regonized as through (current behavior)
1: the depth is retrieved from the drilling operation dialog box.
Knurling pitch can be retrieved from the template document thanks to the Dimension | Knurling dimension function.
Now, a dimension can mask another dimension.
The new View | Change set to project function allows to choose another alternative set (or another in place sub assembly) of a main view.
According to the wood industry norm, in full section (or section) view, the external part's contours can be drawn with in bold thickness. The Thicken part contour in cross section and view section option available in the Tools | Options and File | Properties functions (2d view rubric) allows to change this setting.
Now, line axis which are located in holes can be configured as axis lines. In previous versions, the solid line mode was automatically chosen.
Now, appearance of a local section trimming curves can be configured with the Tools | Options - 2d view - Attributes function.
The new View | Main view with turned down parts function allows to create the main view of an assembly where some parts will be turned down according to the view orientation.
In the design document the Tools | Turned down parts management function allows to defined the rotation axis, parts to turn down and turning down options.
The new MULTI FILES option allows to create a bill of material of several sets located in several documents, this option is also available in the bill of material modification dialog box dialog thanks to the Multi files tab.
The new Bill of material | Filter bill of material (also available from the symbolic tree contextual menu) allows to filter a bill of material by picking a column, for example it allows to create a bill of material of all component provided by one supplier.
In multi level mode, the TOTAL COUNT property allows to create a column that retrieve the total number of part located in several sub-assemblies.
