Check for design changes

From the menus, click Tools > Options. In the left pane, click Files > Read > SolidWorks/Parasolid. This version adds the option Check for design changes.

1. In SURFCAM, open a SolidWorks file (.SLDPRT).

2. In SolidWorks, modify that same file.
   
   Check the Check for design changes option to make the following message appear.
   
   Design Change Detected
   Original file: file path name has been modified. Update current model? (YES/NO).

3. Click YES to update the model in SURFCAM to match the modified SolidWorks file. Click NO to leave the SURFCAM model unchanged.
   
   Clear the Check for design changes option to suppress the above message and leave the SURFCAM model unchanged.
