Parasolids-Based STL Models

This improves STL models for use in verification.

1. Create or import a surface model in SURFCAM.

2. Click File > Save As.

3. Click the Files of Type pull-down and choose the STL file type, and save the file.

4. Create or open a SURFCAM file with cutting operations.

5. Open the Operations Manager and right-click on the Setup that contains the operations, and click Edit Setup Information.

6. Click the Stock or Fixture tab.

7. Choose STL Solid for the Stock Type or Fixture Type.

8. Click the Browse button and select the file you created in step 3, above.

9. Click the Add button, then click OK.

10. Select the Setup that contains the STL Stock or Fixture, then click the Run SURFCAM Verify button to verify the cutting operations.
    
    The Stock or Fixture you created appears during the verification. Create and use as many stocks and fixtures as you need. Remember to click the Add button after you select each new Stock or Fixture.
