File > Open and Save standardization

1. Click File > Save.

2. Navigate to a desired folder.

3. Click the Files of Type pull-down to choose a file type. In previous versions, SURFCAM jumps from the desired folder to the default directory for that file type. This inconveniences users who choose the file type after they navigate.

New SURFCAM users who install SURFCAM 2005

SURFCAM remains in the selected folder after you choose the file type.

Existing SURFCAM users who upgrade to SURFCAM 2005

To remain in the selected folder after you choose the file type,

1. From the menus, click Tools > Options.

2. In the left pane, click Files > Paths.

3. Leave Default Directory blank.

4. Click OK.
