This parameter identifies some areas on a part that SURFCAM will not cut. These are areas that the tool can cut but the next tool can cut better.
This parameter is the minimum distance that the tool must move in the cutting area. The default value for this parameter is a distance equal to the tool diameter. You can increase this value in the increments that are equal to .25 of the tool diameter.
The following figure shows small areas that can be cut when the Min Tool Movement parameter set to one diameter. The points mark the start and the end of the toolpath. Each toolpath has a length equal to the diameter of the tool.
