To create an optimized spline:
Click Optimize on the Create > Spline menu. SURFCAM will present a dialog box for you to enter the Maximum Deviation Error From Spline.
Enter the maximum distance for the new spline to deviate from the existing spline.
Select the spline to be optimized. A new spline will be created.
