This is an arbitrary estimate of the distance, parallel to the Z axis, from the center of the turret to the tip of the tool. Its default value is zero since the machine operator will often override this value with the length for the actual tool used.
However, if you checked the box for the ToolLib Gauge Length parameter on the Options tab, SURFCAM will enter the value for Total Height from the Tool Library, instead of zero.
