Tangent
The plunge move (ramp or helix) will end at the tool path point, this mode is usually used when contouring.
Centered
The plunge move (ramp or helix) will be centered about the tool path point, this mode is usually used when pocketing.
Most often Centered is applicable on pocketing cycles whereas Tangent is for contouring.
