Maximum Stepover, Tool Engagement

Maximum Stepover and Tool Engagement mutually calculate. Set one to dynamically calculate the other. For example, if you have a 1-inch endmill and set the Maximum Stepover to 0.5, the Tool Engagement calculates to 90 degrees. If you set the Tool Engagement to 90, the Maximum Stepover calculates to 0.5

This is the key setting for TrueMill. Clearly understand this setting to effectively use TrueMill.

SURFCAM creates the tool path so that the actual engagement of the tool is never greater than the value you use.
