Some Lead moves are not allowed in Thread Mill. When the Thread Milling dialog box is opened the Lead move settings in the Lead Move Information dialog box are changed to their default values if the lead moves were not allowable.
The allowable Lead moves and their default settings will vary with the different settings for Tool, Major Diameter, Minor Diameter, Cutter Comp, and Thread Type. If you make a change in these parameters that causes the current Lead moves to become un-allowable, SURFCAM will display a warning message. The message will appear after you click OK, Apply, or a Lead button. When you exit the message box, the Lead move settings will be changed to their default values.
Click the Defaults button on the Lead Move Information dialog box to display the current default lead move settings.
