SURFCAM breaks surface cutting moves into many linear moves. These linear moves are along the chords between the points on the surface along the toolpath.
The lengths of these chords and their linear moves change. No point on the surface can be a distance from a chord that is greater than the value for the Surface Tolerance.
The smaller you set this parameter, the more accurately the cut follows the surface. Smaller values take longer to compute.
