Use Grid to create a surface when two sets of two or more cross sections are needed to control the surface flow in both the major and minor directions of the surface. The two sets of cross sections establish a natural synchronization of cross section points.

See Four Curve Surface.

Before you select Sections ( image\CreateSurfaceCrossSectMenu_shg.gif ) or Grid ( image\CreateSurfaceCrossSectMenu_shg.gif ) you must select from the following chaining methods to select the cross sections.

image\CreateSurfaceCrossSectMenu_shg.gif Auto

Use Auto when the arrangement of the cross sections lends itself to the simplified selections offered by the Select menu and when it lends itself to automatic sorting according to a logical flow of the surface being created.

image\CreateSurfaceCrossSectMenu_shg.gif Manual

Use Manual when the arrangement of the cross sections is such that a more careful selection is required to identify them.
