Click Insert or press the Insert key to display the following Insert menu.
Click a command to insert one of the following types of instructions immediately after the instruction that is displayed on the prompt line.

Rapid,
Line, Plunge
The Select Point menu will be displayed and you will be prompted: "Adding or editing a rapid / linear / plunge move, select a location." Specify a location using the Select Point Menu.
Hole
The Select Point will be displayed and you will be prompted to "Enter the new hole start location." Select the new location and the Hole Depth dialog box will be displayed for your input.
End Row
This is a record that marks the end of a pass of the tool across the surface. It requires no other input.

Feed Rate or Plunge
Rate
Insert one of these records to alter the feed or plunge rate for subsequent movements in the operation file. Choosing either of these will display a dialog box and prompt you to "Enter a new feed / plunge rate."
Tool Change
Insert a tool change into the operation file. SURFCAM will display a Select Tool dialog box and the prompt "Enter new cutter information."
Comment
Comments are similar to Inline except that the comment start and end characters will be added as well. Verify that proper beginning and ending comment characters are defined in the POSTFORM file.
SURFCAM displays the Inline Text dialog box so you can insert a post processor command into the toolpath file.
NC Mode
Choose this when the operation you are editing was created in one NC mode and you want to choose a type of move not available in that mode.
2 Axis/3 Axis
4 Axis/5 Axis
Choose the mode
that has the move you want to insert.
Note that 4 and 5 Axis moves require that I, J, and K vectors be specified.
