To edit a toolpath from
the Operations Manager,
click an individual operation icon in the operations tree, and then click
the Edit NC Operation
button (
).The Edit NC
menu appears, and the toolpath for the operation. The first line of the
tool motion instructions appears on the prompt line.

Use this menu to edit the tool motion instructions that create the toolpath in an NC operation. Each line of instruction describes a tool motion (such as rapid, feed, or arc moves) or other information needed to produce a complete NC program.
The prompt line displays the current line of instruction. When that instruction is a tool movement of some kind, SURFCAM marks the end point of that movement (on the screen) with a small square.
The following commands provide different ways of selecting the line of instruction to display on the prompt line.
Start
Display the first instruction.
Previous
Display the previous instruction.
Pick
Click on an individual tool motion part of the toolpath to display the instruction that creates that motion. The part of the toolpath closest to the click point will be selected.
Next
Display the next instruction.
End
Move to the last instruction.
Use the next group of menu commands to edit the current instruction, insert new instructions or delete existing instructions.
Edit the current tool motion instruction, displayed on the prompt line.
Insert instructions immediately after the instruction displayed on the prompt line.
Delete one or more instructions.
When you choose a delete command, all instructions—from the current one to the one identified by the command you chose—will be deleted.
Done
Click when all editing is complete.
