SpaceBall® is a registered Trademark of the Logitech® Group.
The SpaceBall detects fingertip pressure and moves the model on the screen in X, Y, and Z translations and rotations.
Translations
Pressing the SpaceBall left moves the model up. Pushing down moves the model down. Pushing forward is like pushing the model away from you. It will unzoom or get smaller. Pulling back on the ball is like pulling the model toward you. It will zoom in or get larger.
Rotations
You can make the model rotate on the screen by applying twisting motions on the SpaceBall. The model will rotate around an axis that corresponds to an axis through the ball around which your twisting motion is applied.
SpaceBall Settings
Pressing a button on the left side of the SpaceBall will display the SpaceBall Settings dialog box.
