The Probe Tip Selection dialog sets the parameters of the FaroArm digitizer tip.
Probe Tip
FaroArms support up to four pre-defined tips: the supplied point tip, the ball end tip, and two custom tips. The digitizer tips must first be properly calibrated using the software supplied with the FaroArm. The tip can also be chosen from the SURFCAM tool library by pressing the Tool library button.
Tip Length
Supplying a custom tip requires the difference in length between the custom tip and the ¼" Ball End tip. If the custom tip is shorter than the ¼" tip, enter a negative number.
