Calibrate a new probe. Click Options > Probe Tip Calibration.
Turn on the FaroARM and clear all the joints. The following screen appears.
To add a new probe, click the Edit button, and then click the Create New button, as follows.
Use the appropriate calibration method based upon the equipment you have (sphere or hole). Select the Edit button. A chart of existing probe definitions appears. Make changes or activate.
For example, select Hole Calibration. If needed, you must first reference the encoders. The following dialog appears.
Select Shpere and the following dialog appears.
After you calibrate the probe, the following screen appears. It contains a list of graphical probe drawing data from the SURFCAM tool library. This controls displays on the screen during digitizing.
You see the probe when you are in Digitize mode in SURFCAM.
