Once the DDE connection is established, Faro will be able to send digitized points and SURFCAM will be able to receive them. This occurs only when SURFCAM has a Select Point menu displayed (i.e. digitizing a point, digitizing a point to mirror across, etc.)
As an example, to digitize points, switch to the SURFCAM application and click on Create > Point. The screen should look like this:

In order to start digitizing points, select the Digitize menu item in SURFCAM. If Faro is not currently reading data from the digitizing arm, SURFCAM will command Faro to do so. If a valid digitizing tip has been configured in the Faro Options dialog, SURFCAM dynamically displays the position and orientation of the digitizing tip. At this point, SURFCAM is ready to receive the digitized points.
