When you click Linear on the Create > Text / Dim menu and select two points, the linear dimension will be displayed. Position the dimension by moving the mouse and clicking the left button or by using one of the other Select Point menu commands.
If the points are not on a horizontal or a vertical line, as you move the mouse to different locations, SURFCAM automatically switches between the appropriate horizontal and vertical measurements.
