Setting Initial Conditions and Reference Values
The reference values and initial conditions for the simulation are set via the Reference Values and Initial Conditions nodes for each continuum. Default values are retained for this simulation and may be checked as follows:
- Open the Continua > Air > Reference Values node and select the Reference Pressure node.

- In the Properties window, check the Value property is set to
101325 Pa.

The fluid region will be initialized at a temperature of 300 K.
- Select the Continua > Air > Initial Conditions > Static Temperature > Constant node.

- In the Properties window, check the Value property is set to
300 K.

This completes the setup for the fluid continuum. The solid continuum can now be defined.
The solid region will also be initialized at a temperature of 300 K.
- Select the Continua > Glass > Initial Conditions > Static Temperature > Constant node.

- In the Properties window, check that the Value property is set to
300 K.

- Save the simulation.
