Visualizing the Solution

We will view contours of temperature and species concentrations as the solution develops on a plane bisecting the mesh and passing through the axis of symmetry. To create the plane section:

Right-click on the Derived Parts node and select New Part > Plane Section.

In the Create Section in-place dialog that appears on the left of the geometry scene, click on the Input Parts button and check that only Default_Fluid is in the Selected list.

In the Plane Parameters section, change the normal vector to 0,1,0.

Select New Scalar Displayer in the Display section. The completed dialog is shown below.

Click Create to create the plane section and add it to the geometry scene as part of a scalar displayer.

Close the Create Section dialog.

Right-click on the scalar bar in the display. In the pop-up menu that appears, select Temperature.

Rotate the geometry scene so that the view is roughly perpendicular to the beige plane section and the inlet boundaries are on the left.

Select the Scenes > Geometry Scene 1 > Displayers > Section Scalar 1 node.

In the Properties window, change the Contour Style property to Smooth Filled.

Save the simulation.
