Setting up the Radiation Model

Most of the models required in this case have already been selected (see Setting up the Models in the Heated Fin Tutorial) and so do not need to be specified again. The surface-to-surface radiation model, however, does need to be switched on.

Open the Continua node, right-click on the Air node and select item Select models...

In the Physics Model Selection dialog:

Select the Radiation radio button in the Optional Physics Models group box.

Select the Gray Thermal Radiation radio button in the Thermal Radiation group box.

Select the Surface-to-Surface Radiation radio button in the Radiation group box.

The Physics Model Selection dialog should look as shown below when you are done.

Click Close.

Save the simulation by clicking on the

(Save) button.
