Setting Solver Parameters and Stopping Criteria

This is the point at which you would adjust controls such as the Courant number and the maximum number of iterations.

The default Courant number of 5 will be used for this calculation. Although not detailed in this tutorial, this value could be increased to anything between 50 to 100 after the first 50 iterations or so (at which point the flow pattern will have been established) in order to improve the convergence rate of the simulation.

The calculation will be run for 1000 iterations, which is sufficient to achieve a steady-state solution. This number can be specified using a stopping criterion.

The Maximum Steps property is already set to 1000 so no change is needed. The solution will not run for more than 1000 iterations, unless the stopping criterion is changed or disabled.
