Determining the Continuum of Each Region

The imported mesh was composed of two regions named Fluid and Solid after the mesh conversion process was done. To determine which set of continua models are allocated to which mesh region, do the following:

Select the Regions > Fluid node.

Look at the Physics Continuum property in the Properties window. It should be set to Air, the name of the continuum in which you selected models.

By default, all imported mesh regions are allocated to the first continuum (renamed to Air in this exercise) and its set of models. Therefore, the solid region's continuum needs to be changed.

Select the Regions > Solid node

In the Properties window, set the Physics Continuum property to Aluminum Alloy.

The Solid node will change from blue to shaded gray.
