The original mesh was built in inches, but no scaling factor was applied when it was saved to the .ccm file. The Mesh > Diagnostics... menu item may be used to determine the current mesh dimensions, but this information is already available from the mesh import process and is displayed in the Output window.

As can be seen from this output, the mesh region at import extends from 0 to 5.0 in the x-direction, 0 to 5.5 in the y-direction and 0.0 to 1.5 in the z-direction. Without any further action, these units will be interpreted by STAR-CCM+ as meters. The region therefore needs to be scaled by 0.0254 so that the dimensions are correctly specified.
When the Apply button is clicked, the mesh region will be reduced in size.
To verify that the scaling has in fact been applied, you can perform the mesh diagnostics check and review the output values.
