Visualizing Results
- Click on the Vector Scene 1 display tab to see the velocity distribution for the converged solution.
To examine the velocity vectors in just the porous region, we will remove the fluid region from the plane section.
- Open the Derived Parts node, then select the plane section node
- In the Properties window, click on the Parts property and deselect the fluid region.
- Click away from the plane section node and the velocity vectors will be displayed within the porous region only
To alter the orientation and location of the legend:
- Select the Scenes > Vector Scene 1 > Displayers > Section Vector 1 > Color Bar node.
- In the Properties window, change the Orientation property to and set the Height and Width properties to
1.0 and 0.1, respectively.
- In the Graphics window, click on the legend and drag it to a suitable location, such as that shown below.
Note that as a result of the isotropy of the porous region the vectors are not aligned in any particular direction.
Save the simulation.
