Defining and Renaming Regions and Boundaries

Initially, all regions and boundaries have generic names. We will now give them more suitable labels.

The Rename dialog will appear.

Change the names of the boundaries to indicate more clearly what they are.

As part of the analysis, we will determine the pressure drop across the porous region by monitoring the average pressure on its upstream and downstream interfaces. However, these interfaces are currently defined as a single boundary within each region. We will now split these boundaries to allow easier monitoring of the pressure drop.

A new boundary node named Interface-1-11 2 will appear in the Boundaries node.

The display in the Graphics window will show that Interface-1-11 2 is on the upstream side of the porous region and Interface-1-11 on the downstream side.

This part of the simulation tree should look as shown below when you are done.
