Visualizing the Mesh

The Geometry Scene 1 display will already be present in the Graphics window. Initially all parts of the mesh are shown as solid, colored surfaces.

The object (a boundary in the illustration below) becomes highlighted and a label appears with the name of the object selected.

In the intake window, the node that corresponds to this object is highlighted.

Similarly, if a different boundary node is selected, the surface corresponding to that boundary will be highlighted in the Graphics window.

Point anywhere in the Geometry Scene 1 display, hold down the left mouse button and begin moving the mouse; this action rotates the visualized parts. Similarly, doing this while holding down the right mouse button will pan, or shift the parts.

Use the middle mouse button to zoom: drag the mouse backward or forward, making the visualized parts larger or smaller.

Details on how to edit properties are described in a separate section of the User Guide.

This dialog will contain a list of the parts to be displayed. By default, all boundary surfaces will be displayed. The << and >> buttons are used to deselect and select all the eligible parts. Clicking on a single part, then using the < or > button, as appropriate, is a way to select or deselect single entities.

To display the surface mesh on the selected parts:

This will show the surface mesh.
