Setting Solver Parameters and Stopping Criteria
For this simple case, it is reasonable to increase the velocity under-relaxation factor to speed up convergence.
- Select the Solvers > Segregated Flow > Velocity node.

- In the Properties window, change the Under-Relaxation Factor to
0.9.
Before running the analysis, the maximum number of iterations to be performed needs to be specified.
- Open the Stopping Criteria node and then select the Maximum Steps node.

- In the Properties window, change the Maximum Steps value to
500.
The pre-processing task is now complete. The next step is to run the analysis using the selected STAR-CCM+ solver, as described in Running the Simulation.
