Renaming and Setting the Solid Boundary Types

The following boundary types will be used for each boundary in the solid region:


Boundary Name	Boundary Type
Boundary 1 (Interface)	Wall
Inner cylinder wall	Wall
Outer cylinder wall	Wall
Symmetry	Symmetry Plane

Rename the Boundary 1 boundary as previously done for the fluid region:

Select the Solid body>Boundaries>Boundary 1 node in the simulation tree, right-click and select Rename from the pop-up menu.

In the Rename dialog that appears, enter Interface and press the OK button to apply it.

The boundary types can now be set. For the Interface, Inner cylinder wall and Outer cylinder wall boundaries, the default Wall condition is appropriate and does not need to be changed. To set the type for the Symmetry boundary, do the following:

Select the Symmetry node simulation tree.

Select the Symmetry Plane option in the pull-down menu for Type in the Properties window.

The completed list of boundaries is shown below:

This completes the boundary setup. We can now proceed and define the interface between the fluid and solid regions.
