Setting the Global Mesh Reference Values

To view the global reference values required for the selected meshing models, open the Reference Values node. The following mesh inputs will be listed:

The base size for this example is based on the size of the diameter of the inlet and all other relative meshing values are scaled from this. We could have used absolute sizes instead. To measure any part of the geometry, you can use the Measure distance between two points toolbar button and click on any two points on the surface. The distance between the points will be reported in the output window in meters.

To set the reference value parameters, click on the relevant node and enter the above values in the Properties window. For example, to set the base value, do the following:
