Creating a Cylinder

On selecting the Cylinder option in the in the New Shape pop up menu, the Create Cylinder Volume Shape dialog will appear on the plot display.

Two separate locations (Start Coordinate and End Coordinate) and a Radius based on the global cartesian coordinate system need to be defined. These can be entered manually into the dialog or the Display Point Tool option can be activated to graphically create the start and end points by dragging the ball to the appropriate location for each coordinate. Note that a representation of the cylinder can be seen by entering a Radius value and pressing enter. Pressing the Apply button will create a new node called Cylinder 1 under the Volume Shapes node. This process can be repeated as many times as necessary to create additional cylinder shapes. Press the Close button to complete the operation.

The properties of the cylinder volume shape can be viewed and edited by clicking on the appropriate node under the Volume Shapes node.
