A volume shape is a closed geometric figure that can be used to specify a volume source for mesh refinement or coarsening during the meshing process in STAR-CCM+. Four different volume shapes, which share a common pop-up menu, are currently allowed:
Any combination of shapes can be used as part of the volume source definition. The shapes can intersect one another and can also go outside the bounds of the surface geometry definition.
