To create a new user field function, right-click on the Field Functions node under Tools in the object tree, then select New Function.
A new field function will be added to the object tree.
A default name such as User Field Function 1 will be assigned. However, the field function can be renamed.
A new field function is also created automatically with the creation of a report. Such field functions cannot be renamed directly; their names contain the names of their respective reports.
