Using the Line-Probe In-Place Dialog

If certain basic conditions are met when you start the process to create a new line-probe or edit an existing one, a new in-place dialog will be placed near the visualization display to allow definition of the derived part.

Click the Input Parts button to select the input part(s) that you want to be included in the point.

The point 1 and point 2 columns provide text boxes for you to specify the x-, y- and z-coordinates of the first and second points of the line, respectively.

The Resolution text box lets you set the line thickness.

The Line Tool positions the line visually when the Display Tool checkbox is ticked.

The Snap To Part option lets you select a part along which you can position the line. It is available when the line tool is active.

The coordinates used in the dialog are relative to the laboratory (Cartesian) coordinate system, which cannot be changed.

The Display group box, arrow button (), and Create and Close buttons are common functions described elsewhere.
