Selecting a VOF Multi-Phase Simulation
To use the VOF model for solving immiscible fluid problems:
In the
Physics Model Selection
dialog, specify the
material model
as a
multi-phase fluid
by selecting
Multi-Phase Mixture
in the
Material
group.
Select the
Implicit Unsteady
solver option from the
Time
group.
Make an appropriate selection from the
Viscous Regime
group. The
Physics Model Selection
dialog will then look as shown below
.
Make an appropriate selection from the
Optional Physics models
group:
Select
Gravity
if
gravity forces
significantly influence the solution.
Select
Surface Tension
if
surface tension forces
significantly influence the solution.
Select
Segregated Multi-Phase Temperature
if thermal effects are to be included in your simulation.
In the
Phase Change
group, select
Cavitation
if
cavitation
is expected to occur.
