What Are Reaction Properties?

Depending on the setting of the Reaction Control property of the EBU model, one or both of the reaction properties nodes are available in the Properties manager node.

When you select the EBU Coefficients properties node (available with Standard EBU, Hybrid, or Combined Time Scale settings):

Eddy break-up constant, A_ebu - see Eqn. 9 and (10).

Eddy break-up constant, B_ebu - see Eqn. 10.

Use products for the rate - a switch determining whether Eqn. 9 or Eqn. 10 is to be used in the calculations.

When you select the Arrhenius Coefficients properties node (available with Hybrid, Combined Time Scale, or Kinetics Only settings):

Pre-exponential factor, A_j - see Eqn. 16.

Activation energy, Ea_j - see Eqn. 16.

Temperature exponent, beta_j - see Eqn. 16.

Note that these parameters are used to calculate chemical reaction rates from finite-rate kinetics, and their values are not required if Standard EBU has been selected in the Reaction Control property of the Eddy Break-up node. Additionally, they have no effect on the CFM.
