Selecting the Discrete Ordinates Radiation Model

To select the Discrete Ordinates model:

In the Physics Model Selection dialog, select a space model (Axisymmetric, Three Dimensional or Two Dimensional) from the Space group.

The Radiation model in the Optional Physics Models group may now be selected.

Select the Gray Thermal Radiation model from the Thermal Radiation group.

Select a single-component material model from the Material group.

Choose the desired solver type. For the segregated flow model:

Select Segregated Flow in the Flow group.

Select either the Segregated Fluid Enthalpy model or the Segregated Fluid Temperature model in the Optional Physics Models group. The Discrete Ordinate Radiation radio button will now become available under the Radiation group.

Following its selection, the Physics Model Selection dialog will look as shown below.

Alternatively, to choose the coupled flow model:

Select Coupled Flow in the Flow group.

Select the Coupled Energy model in the Optional Physics Models group. The Discrete Ordinate Radiation radio button will now become available under the Radiation group.

Following its selection, the Physics Model Selection dialog will look as shown below.
