What are the Spectral Bands?

The continuous radiation spectrum is divided into distinct discrete bands which are defined by the parameters lower and upper wavelengths. By default, the spectral band 'Thermal 1' is activated when the multiband radiation model is selected.

Additional bands may be added by right clicking 'Spectral Bands' and selecting New. Spectral bands may also be removed by right-clicking on individual bands and selecting Delete.

Setting the Spectral Bands Properties

Spectral bands define finite wavelength intervals in the radiation spectrum. They are defined by setting their lower and upper bounds. By definition, an upper bound >= 10m is interpreted to mean infinity.

Lower Wavelength

Sets the lower limit for the thermal wavelength.

Upper Wavelength

Sets the upper limit for the thermal wavelength.
