Working with Heat Exchanger Minimum Temperature Difference

This region value node represents the minimum allowable difference between the specified heat exchanger enthalpy source temperature and the maximum fluid temperature.

If the local temperature difference is smaller, or the opposite sign of the intended heat transfer direction, this temperature difference is used. This ensures that the specified amount of heat is always transferred with the fluid and avoids numerical problems that would happen as the limit is approached.

Properties

Value

The minimum temperature difference that is used for distribution of heat from and/or to cells.
