Creating a Volume Source

A volume source can be created once a surface mesh has been imported or a mesh continuum has been defined. It is also recommended that you first define the volume shape(s) that will be used for the volume source.

To define a new volume source, right-click on the Volume Source node for the appropriate mesh continuum node and select New in the pop-up menu.

A new node called Volume Source 1 will be created.

The volume source node requires two parameters to be set, namely the Size type and Shapes. Two options are provided for Size type:

Click on the [] Shapes option to open the Select Objects dialog:

All currently defined volume shapes will be listed on the left-hand side window. Use the selection tools to select the desired volume shape or shapes that will be used for the volume source.
