Custom Surface Proximity

The custom surface proximity setting allows the Search Floor and Number of Points in a gap settings to be made at the boundary level. These settings are used for the surface wrapper, surface remesher and volume mesh trimmer meshing models. Three choices are provided:

By default, the Custom Surface Proximity node is set to Use Continuum Values, indicating the values specified at the continuum level will be used for the boundary.

If the Specify Custom Values option is selected, an additional property node is activated in the Mesh Values node which allow boundary specific proximity settings to be made.

Custom surface proximity settings at the boundary level supersede those set at the continuum level via the Reference Values node.

Selecting the Disable option will disable the surface proximity option for the boundary and ignore the global settings under the Reference Values node. In other words, no proximity effects will be included.
