Interface Boundary Names

Unlike the names of other boundary types, the interface boundary names are not directly changeable by the user. They are constructed by STAR-CCM+. The rule for these names is <originalboundary> [<interface>].

For example, in the screenshot below, the selected nodes are of an interface, the original boundaries of that interface and the interface-type boundaries that were created along with the interface. The default name of each interface-type boundary contains the default names of the original boundary in its respective region and of the interface.

When the nodes of the interface and/or either original boundary is renamed, that name change is reflected in the corresponding nodes of the interface-type boundaries.
