If you are running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 and you have not changed the default firewall settings you will receive the following security warning when you run STAR-CCM+:
Click the Unblock button to allow STAR-CCM+ to run. If an additional warning appears for StarMain, unblock that as well.
These alerts may also be displayed when STAR-CCM+ tries to use MPICH during a parallel run.
