Check documents beforeCompare Geometry. Checks the geometry
of both documents before doing the comparison. When selected, SolidWorks Utilities runs the SolidWorks Check
function to find invalid surfaces and edges.
If either part does not pass the check process, a dialog box
appears that asks for confirmation to proceed with the comparison.
You should repair the invalid geometry before proceeding
with the comparison.
Perform face
comparison. Compares the geometry of corresponding faces in the
two parts.
Perform volume
comparison. Computes the volume differences and common volume of
the two parts or assemblies. If Perform
volume comparison is not selected, assembly documents cannot be
compared.
If the parts contain a large number of spline surfaces, computation
of volume differences may fail or take a long time.
Select an item in Linear
units. If you select Microinches,
Mils, Inches,
or Feet & Inches as your unit
of measure, click Decimal or Fractions.
If you selected Decimal,
set the number of Decimal places
(0 to 8).
If you selected Fractions,
set the Denominator. (Only dimensions
that are evenly divisible by this denominator are displayed as fractions.)
You can also select Round to nearest
fraction.
Select an
item in Angular units.
If you selected Degrees
or Radians, set the number of
Decimalplaces.
Changing the linear or angular units does not change the
units of the solid model. These units are for display of Compare
Geometry results only.
