At the end of the feature comparison, the Compare Features: Results dialog box appears and the two parts are shown in tiled windows. You can analyze the results in the following ways:
Results are shown in two trees, one for the reference part and one for the modified part. The trees contain two nodes: Unique/Modified Features and Uncompared Features. Unique features are identified with red bullets, modified features have yellow bullets, and uncompared features have blue bullets.
Select an individual item, or node, in the tree to highlight the corresponding feature in the graphics area. Click Options, Color to change the feature colors.
Select the Keep current feature colors on close check box to preserve the colors of modified and unique features. If this check box is not selected, the colors return to the original part colors when you close the Compare Features: Results dialog box.
Click any modified feature pair in the tree to see its parameters. The list contains four columns:
Parameter. Type of parameter
Reference. Value of the parameter in the reference part
Modified. Value of the parameter in the modified part
Remarks. Additional information; for instance, Direction 1 or Direction 2 extrude
Drag
in the lower-right corner to resize the dialog box, if necessary
to view the columns.
Click Save Report to save the results in an HTML report. The Compare Features: Save Report dialog box appears. For more details, see Saving Reports.
View Synchronization
The views in the graphics areas of the two parts are synchronized. When you change the view of one part, the view of the other part updates.
This feature is active when the Compare Features: Results dialog box is present. There is no explicit control to enable or disable view synchronization.
