6. Select M12 in Size.

7. Select 50 in Length.

8. To add a description so you can easily reference this component again:

1. In the PropertyManager, under Favorites, click Add/Update.

2. In the dialog box, type tutorial bolt for Description, and click OK.

9. Click OK to add the component to the assembly.

Because of SmartMates and Mate References on the SolidWorks Toolbox components, the software automatically adds two mates between the block and the bolt. A Concentric mate aligns the bolt to the hole and a Coincident mate aligns the bolt head to the block.
