CommandManager

Right-click in the window border and select CommandManager.

Click Tools, Customize.
On the Toolbars tab, select Enable CommandManager.
Click OK.

Click a button in the control area.

The CommandManager updates to show the toolbar associated with the button you clicked.

Click next to a button in the control area.

The flyout toolbar associated with the button you clicked appears.

When you add a button to the control area of the CommandManager, the button appears in the current document type only. For example, if you add the Reference Geometry button to the control area of the CommandManager while in a part document, it does not appear in the CommandManager for an assembly document.

Drag a toolbar from the graphics area or window border into the CommandManager control area.

Right-click anywhere in the CommandManager and select Customize CommandManager.
In the menu, select the toolbars to add.
Click anywhere outside the menu to save your changes, or press Enter.

Click Tools, Customize.
On the Commands tab:

Select Flyout Toolbars in Categories.
Under Buttons, drag the button to the control area of the CommandManager.

Click OK.

The Layer toolbar is not available in the CommandManager.

CommandManager

The CommandManager is a context-sensitive toolbar that dynamically updates based on the toolbar you want to access. By default, it has toolbars embedded in it based on the document type.

When you click a button in the control area, the CommandManager updates to show that toolbar. For example, if you click Sketches in the control area, the Sketch toolbar appears in the CommandManager.

Use the Command Manager to access toolbar buttons in a central location and to save space for the graphics area.

To toggle the descriptions and size of the buttons, right-click in the CommandManager and select or clear Use Large Buttons with Text. This option is also available in Tools, Customize, on the Toolbars tab.
